This tower of fear
Holds me captive,
This prison
All my own.
The tormentors
Come to mock me,
And say that
I’m all alone.
This stronghold
In my mind,
My heart it
Quakes with fear.
But then I
Cry to You, oh God,
Your Presence
Is brought near.
You say:
“Fear not My child
I’m with you.
Let your heart
Be not afraid.”
“For the battle
Is not yours,
But Mine
Watch My delivering ways.”
“Cast all your cares
Upon Me child.
Trust in
My Holy Word.”
“Deliverance by man
Is in vain,
But in Me
You can be sure.”
“Fear not My child
I’m with you.
Let your heart
Be not afraid.”
“Cast all your fears
Upon Me child,
And trust
My Holy ways.”
“For I shall
Not forsake you,
Or leave you
All alone.”
“The way is but
To trust in Me,
And the means
I’ll surely show.”
“Fear not My child
I’m with you.
Let your heart
Be not afraid.”
“For though the trials
Seem dark right now,
I shall surely
Make a way.”
