I did not get to
Say goodbye,
I was not ready
For you to die.
But you had fought
The cancer for so long,
And in your weariness
God was calling you Home.
You were laughter and joy
To all those you touched,
My beautiful friend
I loved you so much.
I did not get to
Say goodbye,
I was not ready
For you to die.
We constantly prayed
For a miracle for you,
But sometimes healing
Is only in Heaven it's true.
Like a sister
And a best friend,
God took you to Heaven
So your suffering would end.
I did not get to
Say goodbye,
I was not ready
For you to die.
You’re dancing and decorating
All over Heaven now,
And my heart finds peace
In that somehow.
You're filled with
Laughter, joy, and life,
Your battle has ended
There’s no more strife.
I did not get to
Say goodbye,
I was not ready
For you to die.
But I trust the Father
Knew what was best,
And in His providence
I can find rest.
For one day
I will see you again,
But until I enter Heaven
I will miss you my friend.
For now I
Say goodbye,
Until I
Say hello.
